Biography

Oji Miller-Fernandes (aka Oji Fernández) is a multi-hyphenate musician, artist, actor and creative director based in Atlanta, GA. He launched his digital career in 2014 after graduating from Hillgrove High School as a "Digital Marketing Consultant" during a summer internship at Turner Broadcasting. He provided creative input towards a television series "The Last Ship" on TNT. Learned the art of script concepts, story boarding, market research, while collaborating with various departments. The main objective was to successfully develop a national advertisement campaign to increase viewership for the premiere of the show.

After completing his internship, he enrolled in Chattahoochee Technical College majoring in Television Production. Juggling time between school and work, he worked on television sets for FOX 5 Sports as a freelance camera operator. As a requirement for graduation, he needed to do another internship. In December 2015, he struck gold and discovered the perfect opportunity at a family owned event venue called Knock Music House as a "Social Media Intern." They specialize in kid's, teens, adults parties and corporate parties with an old school hip hop theme. Through his previous content strategy experiences, he provided valuable input to optimize their marketing department.  Over time, he climbed the ladder of titles and became a permanent employee and earned the title of "Content Strategist and Social Media Manager." As the team expanded, he managed their Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube pages filming video content and taking photos at all of the events using it as advertisements.

 

He has partnered and coordinated video, photo shoots and social media campaigns with a diverse range of clients including the rapper Future Hendrix, Atlanta Falcon's Cheerleaders, University of Georgia, "Black Lightning" star Myles Truitt, "Everything Sucks"star Jahi Winston, U.S. House political candidate David Kim, lead actress of "Star" Jude Demorest, software company Routematch, Savannah College of Art & Design, and Fairywill. 

Oji also had his artwork featured in the Hapeville "Day of the Dead" Art exhibit, Ehecatl Art Gallery at the Artisan Resource Center, and spoke as a guest speaker at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, GA teaching a semester art class on how to recreate the Berlin Wall graffiti with paint markers and brushes on canvas. 

 

As a longtime multi-instrumentalist, he formed his rock band "Zero Agenda" performing live music on the streets of Atlanta. 

 

He is also an actor with several projects under his belt with his most recent credit skateboarding short film "Curfew." Currently, he is privately training with veteran actor Robert Pralgo at Pralgo Acting Class and private voice over coaching with Brian Bremer at the Atlanta Voiceover Studio.
